Too sick to work, too poor to buy the supplies I need to keep making resources for next year (I get paid tomorrow, fortunately), so it must be time for GAMES. PARTICULARLY SIMS. 8D
Going through my iTunes library, I was suddenly reminded of the time when my brothers figured out that the phrase “based on a true story” could be turned into the acronym “BOATS”, and they proceeded to make fancy burned CDs decorated with boats to hold their copies of that Fat Freddie’s Drop album.
A moment of silence for the things we think are cool as young teenagers.
The upstairs, decicated to the arts, is where sims can view art and practice their own skills.
@_@ I want to be able to build/decorate like this when I grow up.
TESS FROM ROSWELL IS BELLE FROM ONCE UPON A TIME. Is this why I instantly hated Belle?? @_@
I really like Holy Simoly’s carpets - they are patterned, but still quite neutral. I wanted more recolours though, so I started searching for it. I only managed to find the Baby Dots Carpet recoloured in CuriousB’s colours, but since I wanted the other sets to, I decided to start recolouring the carpets myself, using Anna’s colours. I mainly did this for personal use, but I figured maybe other people could find it useful too. I plan to do the remaining two sets pretty soon, but here are the first three I did.
All three sets come in all of Anna’s 30 colours. They have the same price as Holy Simoly’s originals (3 $ per tile for the Baby Dots Carpet, 8 $ per tile for the Clover and Hearts Carpets). A named swatch and a preview picture is included in each rar. Files are named clearly, so you can easily delete the colours you don’t want. Everything’s compressed.
Credits: Holy Simoly for the carpets, Anna for the colours and Hafiseazale for the colour actions.
I spent ALL DAY trying to remember how the “cow jumped over the moon” nursery rhyme started (after we tried to sing it in class because there was a reference to it in another book), and failed. The closest I got was getting the mouse running up the clock in my brain for three hours. Came home, sat down at the computer for email checking and bill paying and ten minutes later, very loudly:
"IT’S HEY DIDDLE DIDDLE, NOT HICKORY DICKORY."
COMMANDER RIKER CAMEO. Gosh, rewatching this show was clearly a good idea, since I’ve now seen most of the shows of the time, so I GET stuff now. XD
It amuses me how scared the Roswell teens are of “the A-word”. (hint: it’s alien)
My brothers and I call each other aliens all the time, and no one bats an eyelash. I know they’re in Roswell, capital of alien conspiracy theorists, but STILL. People would just laugh if we called each other Bigfoots or Taniwhas. ACTING SQUIRRELY IS WHY YOU HAVE PROBLEMS. NOT BECAUSE OF THE A-WORD.
Additionally, this is my first time rewatching the series after having seen Buffy/Angel, so Darla being the Sekrit Spy Guidance Counsellor is loltastic. Oh, 90s TV. So full of teens with amazingly empty class schedules and utterly oblivious teachers/adults.
I made myself* go see Catching Fire this morning, and EEEE SO GLAD I DID. Without spoilers, it was FANTASTIC. Especially Johanna. And the people moaning about the cliffhanger ending need to be dubbed with the “lol you obviously didn’t read the book” appellation. Is that an appellation? It needs to be. Especially with all the movies-from-books that are coming out now.
*none of my friends wanted to see it, so I dubbed it my prize for reaching the 50k NaNo finish line, and even then, I had to MAKE myself go because booo going to the cinema alone.
Oh yes, I won NaNo yesterday! Now I can have six little purple year stars and only three blue ones, wooo! XD
